We’ve been doing this little thing called Monster Fest for going on 12 years now!  Shocking how time slips by when you’re having fun.

If you have attended Monster Fest in the past, what would you say is your favorite thing about it?

Do you enjoy the panels?  If so, any particular topic or presenter you would like to let us know about?

Do you anticipate seeing a particular vendor again?

Are you eagerly awaiting the movie line up for Fantasmo Cult Cinema Explosion?

You see where I’m going here so give us some feed back.  If you tell us something particularly amazing, we may quote you later 🙂

    Monsterfest is one of my favorite cons! With amazing costumes, great panels and vendors, it’s an event I look forward to every year.

    I’ve been going to this event for about 4 years now. I’ll be vending for my second year in a row, and I look forward to coming to this local event. There are such great people. I’d love to see some bright, young, future leaders start to show the initiative to volunteer and help make this event bigger each year. It would be great to have a kids area with activities that kids could do without their parent beside them. Not like a daycare, but a place for kids to sit and color or read a spooky book while their parents get to shop around a bit. (Unless there is already one and I missed it last year. lol) Or maybe a teen volunteer could have a story time for the little kids.

      Thanks for the comment Danielle! We have had a coloring area in years past but the only people coloring were the volunteers at the table 🙂 However, if you know of anyone that would like to volunteer to organize a story time or coloring time etc., please send them my way! We do have “spooky cartoons” every year in the morning in case you have missed that in previous years.

    Ive always loved monster fest. Its great event, family friendly. I personally mostly show up for the film fest. But i must wonder. Have you ever thought of bringing in a few stars or writers to do signing?

      We have many local authors and artists each year, but our limited budget is not enough to bring in celebrity media guests. Fortunately, this year we are lucky enough to be bringing Actress, Veronica Carlson! She is a lovely lady that starred in the Hammer films “Frankenstein Must be Destroyed” and “Dracula Has Risen From the Grave”!

    Me love that it FREE. Also love Vendors & Costumes.
    Please thank Library staff and Brother Shock for all they do. Life is more than Zombies.
    Music outside adds to the atmosphere.
    Dig up a friend and come on down.
