The library closed its doors at 5pm and re-opened at 7pm for the Triple Horror Movie Shock Show!
Monster Fest is the annual one-day horror convention held in early October at the Chesapeake Central Library in Virginia for fans of classic horror in film and literature.
Monster Fest 10 will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Doors open at 10:00 am.
Started in 2003 by Rob Floyd and artist Clayton Sayre, Monster Fest grows bigger and better each year with vendors, panel discussions, special guests, a costume contest, trick-or-treating for all kids in costume, and a horror movie marathon.
Use your brains: give blood. Thanks to all who gave a bit of red at our blood drive in 2012!
Thanks to all who brought a donation for the FoodBank of Southeastern Virginia during our 2012 event!
Last year's event was global! Guests learned about monsters and horror from around the world with special panels, presentations, and more from places like Italy, Spain, Japan and Germany. Brother Shock took us on a terrifying world tour, no passport required.
Did we mention this is 100% FREE and open to the public?
Just another spook-tacular service of your Chesapeake Library!
